The Domino addin task POP3Collect reads messages from one or more POP3 servers and sends them to Domino server or any other compatible SMTP server).
The addin task is entirely written in Java and should therefore run on any Domino 6+ server platform and processor architecture supported by the Domino JVM. It is written and published by Andy Brunner from notesnet.ch.
The addin comes with a short but good installation manual. I installed and configured POP3Collect in less than 5 Minutes. Although the addin pretends to be “Freeware”, The installation will expire on 30-Apr-2008. Never the less I will give it a try …
The POP3 Collect is still in a very late beta stage. If nobody reports an error, I will publish the final freeware version without time limitation on NotesNet.CH.
All users of this tool will see a message during startup, if a newer version is available, which I expect to have in about 1 or 2 weeks.
The formal (non-beta) release 0.7.0 without any time limit has just been released. You can download it at http://NotesNet.CH (just follow the Downloads/Demos).
I’m using Mr. Brunner’s POP3Collect tool with great success. I discovered a bunch of issues, which were fixed immediately.
It works very well with KSpam. Thanks!
